A sense of anticipation?

June 21, 2010 By //  by DigitalJenIPC

It’s the emergency budget tomorrow and there’s a sense of nervous anticipation in the country. People don’t like uncertainty at the best of times, especially if it is going to be good news! Could boost the sales of piggy banks, after all every upside has a downside!

Life can be such a paradox – get clear about what you want, anticipate it, feel it etc but don’t have expectations and be attached to the outcome. Reconcile that! Easier said than done.

It IS important to have a clear focus and know where you are heading, after all the whole coaching profession is set up on this basis, but expectations can be a killer! In relationships, with new business pitches etc

What’s the happy medium do you think?

    Hi Rachel

Good to see you’ve started a blog – Great idea and keep up the good work!

To answer your question, I guess the answer is “don’t be afraid to fail”. Every successful person fails at some point but they just get on with it and move on to the next thing.

    Kind regards

    Michael

Thanks alot Michael. I am still getting my head around the technicalities of blogging, but I love writing, sharing insights and tips and you’re right, you can’t please everyone all of the time. I am an ‘early adopter’ in many things, but a late embracer of social media. I need to fall in love with it as it is the future. My marketing heritage is many years ago, and things have changed greatly.

How’s life and work? What’s news with you?
